Pat has over 20 years of reservoir engineering and subsurface leadership experience across offshore Gulf of Mexico, international, and U.S. legacy assets. He previously served as Vice President of Subsurface at Arena Energy, where he led brownfield redevelopment programs, evaluated acquisitions, and helped add over 100 MMBO of proved reserves through disciplined exploitation and recompletion programs. Pat is known for his ability to integrate geology, reservoir engineering, production history, and surveillance data into a coherent subsurface picture—even in complex, mature fields with long operating histories. His teams drilled more than 125 consecutive successful wells without a dry hole and managed producing assets exceeding 30,000 BOPD. At Sundown Oil Operating, he applies this full-field perspective to responsibly extend reserve life and maximize value from existing assets.
Ben has over 20 years of hands-on oilfield operations and production leadership experience spanning offshore Gulf of Mexico, South Texas, and Appalachian legacy production. He most recently served as Vice President of Operations at Arena Offshore, where he led the production organization responsible for approximately $200MM in annual LOE across more than 150 offshore facilities. His role included direct oversight of field execution, production optimization, regulatory compliance, and regular interaction with BSEE and other regulators. Ben began working in the oilfield as a teenager in Pennsylvania, gaining early hands-on experience that continues to inform his practical, field-first approach. At Sundown Oil Operating, he focuses on disciplined operations, cost control, and consistent production performance.
